# 1 Singles James Bosch put up a valiant effort against a tough first round opponent. James played against Cheyenne Mountain and lost 0-6, 0-6. Later in the day, James played against Sand Creek and lost 2-6, 3-6 which is improved upon from the last time they met when they played best two out of three. James did a remarkable job for not only playing #1 singles, but it was also his first time in four years of high school play at singles period. Well done James!
# 2 Singles Nic Just won handily against a much improved Harrison player. Nic won 6-1, 6-2. In the next round of the tournament, Nic played against the #2 seed from Air Academy. Nic lost in straights, 1-6, 0-6. Nic still had a chance to get into the second day of play, but he would have to defeat the #2 player from Vanguard. That proved to be a task he was ready for as Nic won in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
# 3 Singles Ethan Bower drew Cheyenne Mountain as well and the result ended up the same. Ethan had his best serving performance of the season. Ethan lost 0-6, 0-6. Ethan ended up defaulting his next match against Vanguard.
# 1 Doubles Lucas Lacy & Christion Howard won their first round match easily winning 6-0, 6-0 against Colorado Springs School. Their next opponent was the duo from Cheyenne Mountain. Lucas & Christion ended up losing by the same score of 0-6, 0-6. Keeping up with the same score line, Lucas & Christion won their next match to play in day two handily beating Sand Creek 6-0, 6-0.
# 2 Doubles Thor Young & Jermiah Jones ended up playing against the duo from Air Academy. They played some great tennis and had some nice rallies but ended up succumbing to more experienced talent. The guys lost 0-6 , 0-6. However, they played the best match of their season in the next round. They lost in a tight one 2-6, 6-7 (1-7).
# 3 Doubles Stephen Noll & Seth Long drew a tough first round opponent in Cheyenne Mountain. The guys did a nice job getting many games to deuce and 40-30. In the end, Cheyenne Mountain won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. Stephen & Seth had a chance to make it to day two, but they would have to beat the team from Vanguard. They unfortunately lost in a very closely fought contest by a score line of 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 4-10.
# 4 Doubles Gabriel Ayoubi & Tkai Gonzalez drew the Air Academy team and ended up losing 0-6, 0-6. To get back into day two, they had to beat the team from Vanguard. It was close just like the week before. In fact, all doubles teams lost really close contests. The guys lost 4-6, 4-6.
